How It Works

Connect Odoo ERP to FiscoBridge in Four Steps

From PFX certificate upload to fully automatic fiscalization — Odoo stays exactly as it is, FiscoBridge handles the compliance layer in the background.

Step 1

Upload your PFX certificate

Create an integration in your FiscoBridge dashboard and upload the PFX digital certificate your tax authority issued you (from the FRCS, MfR, or Vanuatu Customs & Inland Revenue taxpayer portal). This certificate is what FiscoBridge uses to cryptographically sign your Odoo invoices on your behalf.

Step 2

Connect Odoo

Select Odoo and authorize FiscoBridge. For Odoo Online, you'll be redirected to your Odoo sign-in; for self-hosted Odoo we set up a service user with the minimum permissions required to read invoices and write back attachments. FiscoBridge never sees your Odoo admin password.

Step 3

Verify your tax rates

Confirm that the tax rates in your Odoo instance match the rates required by your local fiscal regime (VMS, TIMS, or VSMS). Correct tax-rate mapping means every fiscalized invoice is accurate from the very first one.

Step 4

Issue Odoo invoices as normal

From this point on, your team uses Odoo as normal. Each time an invoice is confirmed (posted) in Odoo, FiscoBridge fiscalizes it with your tax authority and attaches the fiscal journal PDF back to the invoice in Odoo, with a chatter note confirming fiscalization.

Frequently Asked Questions

Odoo + FiscoBridge — Questions Answered

Getting Started

Yes. FiscoBridge integrates with Odoo ERP to automatically fiscalize every invoice your Odoo instance generates — no manual export, no double-entry. Each invoice is signed with your PFX certificate, submitted to your tax authority in real time, and a fiscal journal PDF is attached back to the invoice in Odoo with a chatter note confirming fiscalization.

FiscoBridge supports current Odoo releases — Odoo 16, 17, and 18 — on both Community and Enterprise editions. If you run an older Odoo version, contact us and we'll confirm compatibility before you commit.

Yes. The Odoo integration works with both Odoo Online (Odoo's SaaS offering) and self-hosted Odoo deployments — on-premise or on your own cloud. The connection mechanism is selected during setup.

FiscoBridge fiscalizes Odoo invoices — including invoices generated from Odoo POS sessions when they are posted as Account Move records in Odoo. If your retail flow requires real-time receipt fiscalization at the POS terminal itself (rather than at end-of-session invoice posting), please contact us.

Country Compliance — Connect Odoo

To connect Odoo with VMS, sign in to FiscoBridge, upload the PFX certificate that FRCS issued you on the VMS taxpayer portal, then connect your Odoo instance. From that moment on, every Odoo invoice is signed with your VMS certificate, submitted to FRCS VMS v3, and tagged with a fiscal journal — fully VMS-compliant without changing your Odoo workflow.

To connect Odoo with TIMS, upload the PFX certificate you received from the Samoa Ministry for Revenue, then connect your Odoo instance in FiscoBridge. Every Odoo invoice is then automatically reported to the Samoa TIMS system, with a fiscal journal attached back to the invoice.

To connect Odoo with VSMS, upload the PFX certificate issued by the Vanuatu Department of Customs and Inland Revenue, then connect your Odoo instance in FiscoBridge. From there, every Odoo invoice is digitally signed and submitted to VSMS automatically.

Yes. With FiscoBridge connecting Odoo to FRCS VMS v3, every Odoo-issued invoice is signed, submitted, and stored as required by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service. FiscoBridge is an FRCS-accredited SDC, so Odoo invoices fiscalized through it satisfy the VMS v3 fiscal reporting obligation in full.

Daily Use

When an invoice is confirmed (posted) in Odoo, FiscoBridge detects the new Account Move, sends it to your tax authority's fiscal system to be signed, and generates a fiscal journal. The journal PDF is attached to the Odoo invoice and a chatter note is added — all without any clicks on your side.

Yes. Odoo credit notes and refunds are fiscalized as reversal documents — when posted in Odoo, FiscoBridge submits the reversal to your tax authority so the central fiscal record matches your Odoo books.

Yes. FiscoBridge can fiscalize invoices across multiple Odoo companies on the same instance — each company can be connected to its own PFX certificate and tax-authority destination.

The fiscal journal PDF is attached directly to the invoice in Odoo (visible on the Account Move record), with a chatter note recording when fiscalization succeeded.

Usually no — your existing Odoo taxes and fiscal positions continue to work. The FiscoBridge setup wizard checks your Odoo tax mapping against your local fiscal regime and prompts you if anything needs adjusting before going live.

Pricing & Setup

Odoo Online connections are typically live in under 30 minutes. Self-hosted Odoo deployments take a little longer — our team works with your Odoo administrator to provision a service user and confirm the API endpoint. We provide dedicated onboarding for self-hosted setups at no extra cost.

Yes. FiscoBridge sits beside Odoo, not inside it — your team continues to post invoices in Odoo exactly as they do today, and fiscalization happens automatically in the background.

Yes. Start with a free trial of 10 invoices — no credit card required, no expiry. Once you have seen FiscoBridge fiscalize live Odoo invoices end-to-end, pick a plan on the pricing page.

Yes. The Odoo connection uses a dedicated service user with the minimum permissions required for fiscalization. Invoice data is transmitted over TLS, your PFX certificate is encrypted at rest, and FiscoBridge reads only the invoice fields needed for fiscal submission.
